The Heart of Texas Nurse Honor Guard's mission is to honor all nurses at the end of life for their selfless dedication and compassion to their patients. We will provide a service with dignity and respect, and officially release the nurse of their nursing duties at their last roll call.
Integrity, compassion, and respect are at the core of everything we do at The Heart of Texas Nurse Honor Guard. We believe the nurse provides care with every ounce of their being and wish to honor the nurse as well as provide the same care and attention we would give to our own loved ones; who also traveled on this nursing journey with us.
Nurse Honor Guard ceremonies can be customized to the wishes of the deceased or family.
Ceremonies include:
• Nurse’s Biography
• The Nightingale Pledge
• A Nurse’s Prayer
• Final Call to Duty
• Presentation of the Nightingale Lamp to family
• Presentation of the White Rose
• Casket Honor Guard (by request)

• Cemetery
• Funeral or Memorial Services
Any nursing student, active or retired Licensed Vocational Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse whose funeral or memorial service are within McLennan, Falls, Hill, Coryell, Bosque, and Limestone counties are eligible for Nurse Honor Guard services.

Any nursing student, active or retired Licensed Vocational Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse whose funeral or memorial service are within McLennan, Falls, Hill, Coryell, Bosque, and Limestone counties are eligible for Nurse Honor Guard services.
If you have a need outside of our service area, please contact us, we may be able to accommodate you with advanced notice.
Nurse Honor Guard services are provided by volunteers, based on availability, and are always free of charge.
Any nurses present at services are welcome and encouraged to participate in tribute ceremonies.

Requirements:
Active or retired professional nursing license that is in good standing.
Membership Fee:
$25 Annually
$110 One-Time Uniform order (this includes cape, clasp, and hat).
